Couple of missing strings found - translations needed

While working on refactoring the tag builder widget, Stef found a couple of strings that were missing from the Textpacks, so we’ll need translations of them.

They are

exact => Exact
match_type => Match type

If anyone wants to translate, they can do so at the GitHub Textpack repo (preferable), or post below with the translations and the target language. I can then manually insert them.

I’ve also updated the list of missing strings in this sticky topic to reflect that additition.

I was not able to edit with the github website (error message : Sorry, you’re not able to edit this repository directly— you need to fork it and propose your changes from there instead.

lang_name => Français
lang_code => fr-FR
exact => exact
match_type => Type de relation

Re: Couple of missing strings found - translations needed

Thanks people. I’ll add these in later in the weekend.

If anyone else wants to supply any missing translation strings for any languages via the forum (if they don’t want to use GitHub), that’s ok – I don’t mind (I’d rather the translations were completed, so whatever method is easiest).

Do you have some contextual information for the second string? Should we think of ‘type’ as in typography or more literally like in ‘type of…(you mention)’?

Refers to how search term (query) is matched. Presented options are ‘Exact’ (the other one), ‘All’ or ‘Any’, matching the options in the search_input tag, one using the whole query as is (exact), one last requiring all, and the last searching for any of the used words.

The “exact” is as in “match all terms in the given order”.

Remember that you do not have to update the strings in the files themselves. Instead slam any additions at the end of the Textpack file in question and run:

./textpack

The sync tool will move the (duplicate) strings from the end of the file to correct places. It took me literal 1 second to add Oleg’s additions to the repository.

Re: Couple of missing strings found - translations needed

The missing de-de strings:

create_new_category => Neue Kategorie erstellen
exact => Genau
match_type => Art der Übereinstimmung
tag_link_to_home => Link zur Startseite

Heads up:
The existing translation of any (here used: “jederzeit” which translates back to “anytime”) can not be used in the search criterion context. Here it can only be translated with Irgendein/Irgendeine/Irgendeins, where the gender form depends on the subject used. Which is it, “Match type”?

Re: Couple of missing strings found - translations needed

Yes, the context is ‘match type: any’

Let me know what I should use.
