Polish lang for TXP 4.0

Hi!

I’ve just finished polish translation of Textpattern 4.0.
Maybe it isn’t perfect, but it’s better than nothing :) Besides, previously I only wanted to translate a few words for my own use, but as you can see, I’ve translated everything and decided to make it public (I thought that this could be helpful for someone).

UPDATE: I have updated the link below. Now my language file is merged with mikolaj’s version. I hope that this new version will be much better.
Mikolaj gave me many pieces of advice and I want to thank him for his great help.

I’ll try to update this translation every time new Textpattern release appears. Unfortunately I’m starting now last and hard year at school so there might be some delays in updating…

Your changes may be helpful, so if You can, contact me. We can then decide which translation is better and update language file.
Also, it would be great if Polish translation is added to remote language installation in future Textpattern versions.

Argh! I was too slow! I did a translation myself, but was too hesitant to post it.

Maybe we can look at both, see what we translated differently (possibly everything :-) ), and come up with a combined extra-super-polish-translation.

Here is my translation (I merged it with the latest release): pl-pl.txt

I also found that the capital “Ł” was missing in i18n-ascii.txt, here it is: i18n-ascii.txt

Why dont you contact kusor or someone from the dev team and make the Polish transilation into Textpattern.
I have now accsess to this brilliant transilation tool to fix and add Icelandic transilation.

If you don’t contact kusor for translations, kusor will contact you ;-).

It’s really wonderful to see how the list of available languages is growing more and more!.

Btw, I’ve forget to mention that more than one polish user could be working coordinated as translators too so, if anybody wants to take part on the Textpattern Polski translation history…

@kusor, Thanks for including Polish translation file in the server. Till now I was using a local file.

However, what confuses me is the locale setting. Right now I’m developing my site in TXP set on my dev machine. It’s running under Polish Windows XP SP2 and Apache. I use Polish translation but I still get English (GB) locale. How to set it to Polish? Am I missing something?

Actually now that Delu’s translation is there, what is preventing the Polish locales from making it into the official version? Would be nice to get it blessed once and for all…

Hmmm czy tylko u mnie zesrało się kodowanie (www.gwiezdnypirat.pl) pod wczorajszej nocy? Może wie ktos jak to naprawić? Nic nie grzebałem w panelu i bum. Potem probowałem przepisać teksty, ale jak tylko kliknalem na zapisz kodowanie znow sie waliło ;( Nie wiem juz co mam robić – sciagalem inne lokalizacje z linkow tego forum, czy zbior zankow ascii i nic. A pare dni temu wszystko smigało :/

myślę, że stało się coś z Twoją bazą danych… Dowiedz się czy nie było czasem jakiejś “renowacji” serwera albo czegoś w tym stylu… Mi taki problem pojawił się, gdy mój host wymienił serwer. Zrobił back-up’a bazy danych, ale użył złego kodowania znaków (ja używam utf-8, a on użył jakiegoś innego) i na stronie zamiast polskich liter miałem mnóstwo znaczków-krzaczków:/ Na szczęście zrobiłem dzień wcześniej swój własny back-up więc wszystko udało się przywrócić do poprzedniego stanu:)
Nie wiem, czy Twój problem jest spowodowany czymś podobnym, ale może…

It’s been a long time since I last visited this Forum… And now I see that there are few things I have to update in Polish-lang file. Though I have no spare time recently, I’ll try to update Polish translation as soon as possible.
