Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest
hi rayben,
that was just a response to Alexandra’s question about what font we were planning to use:

There are no restrictions on fonts, and not really any restrictions on color, size, etc. Just some guidelines, that you may choose to build on or to come up with something marvelously different.
thanks for asking :)

I’ve submitted some variations too. And I believe I’m here to give you some competition and say things like “There’s always a next time” :)

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest
I don’t know why, but I really like this one. If it were twice as big and the layout used a lot of whitespace, that could do really well. I’m not sure what it is, exactly, but it looks like a hand reaching up from under the water or something… anyways, it has a good feel to it.
otherwise I’m liking the rabbits. Especially the one on the left.

Great! They are all nice and unique! I usually like it nice and simple. So, I’ll vote for the one on the top-left (extreme)…

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest
I won’t help : I prefer other logos :D
I prefer the ones that recall the original txp logo (because there are many txp “official” sites now and I could frighten new-comers if there are plenty of different logos… I think)
I like these two (classiques mais chics)
<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/K.jpg” />
<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/P.jpg” />
And I think this one is great too (maybe the one I prefer) :
<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/M.jpg” />
It recalls the original logo but it’s another one. And I like the idea of digging to find a tresure.
The one with the digger beneath earth is funny but it seems negative to me : digging deep is digging hard, long, with risks, you see ?

My picks:
They’re simple, they’re attractive, they’re elegant and they fit the TXP brand.
This one:
Could be good for the documentation wiki.
