Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

I don’t know why, but I really like this one. If it were twice as big and the layout used a lot of whitespace, that could do really well. I’m not sure what it is, exactly, but it looks like a hand reaching up from under the water or something… anyways, it has a good feel to it.

otherwise I’m liking the rabbits. Especially the one on the left.

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

Great! They are all nice and unique! I usually like it nice and simple. So, I’ll vote for the one on the top-left (extreme)…

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

I won’t help : I prefer other logos :D

I prefer the ones that recall the original txp logo (because there are many txp “official” sites now and I could frighten new-comers if there are plenty of different logos… I think)

I like these two (classiques mais chics)

<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/K.jpg” />

<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/P.jpg” />

And I think this one is great too (maybe the one I prefer) :

<img src=“http://textpattern.org/trv2_logos/M.jpg” />

It recalls the original logo but it’s another one. And I like the idea of digging to find a tresure.

The one with the digger beneath earth is funny but it seems negative to me : digging deep is digging hard, long, with risks, you see ?

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

My picks:

They’re simple, they’re attractive, they’re elegant and they fit the TXP brand.

This one:

Could be good for the documentation wiki.

Can I vote? Is this supposed to be an open referendum?
If yes, then I’d vote for this

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

They are all excellent but my vote goes for “P” and like ubernostrum I think “U” would be perfect for TextBook.

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

I like “K”, and yes, let’s use the book for the wiki. Perfect. Looks like it could use a redo with some vector lines though, the ones there seem kind of rough (no offense). Should probably say TextBook somewhere too, I wouldn’t leave it as an assumption.

The version of wikiMedia for TextBook needs to be updated, but I just haven’t had a chance to get around to that. Maybe if Remillard wants to earn is wiki admin stripes, he can turn things current, otherwise it will have to sit tight until I can get to it. At any rate, I like the new logo idea, maybe we’ll need to tweak existing wiki colors a bit too.

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

I think a cobination of the digging with the font types from this one is perfect. Can you combine the two?

Re: Textpattern Resources Logo & Icons Design Contest

Of course you can replace the original TXP logo with some of the above.
