Re: New 4.2.0+ 'Prometheus' Admin theme

Looks gorgeous and makes nice use of the core theme engine. You might want to cater for longer UI strings in localized versions of Textpattern:

Multi-author sites add an additional column to some content lists which seems not to be accounted for:

There’s one thing which stumped me, though: Why would one use the j.mp short URL service for embedded links?

Re: New 4.2.0+ 'Prometheus' Admin theme

Hi Robert, I wanted to be able to track how many times the links had been clicked to see if they were being used or not.

In regard to the non-english localisations, I had to specify a height for some reason, I will have another look to see if I can fix it.

Cheers

Re: New 4.2.0+ 'Prometheus' Admin theme

For all you guys wanting this theme in Textpattern’s trademark yellow (#FFCC33), I have created a new theme called Stung. The download link is at the bottom of the first post

Slick.

The .tgz file installed first time with smd_admin_themes, thanks. Three-click installation: Browse, Install, Activate — w00t!

That would be at least me. :)

The icons I can deal with (or not), but there’s a lot to like with this theme.

Re: New 4.2.0+ 'Prometheus' Admin theme

The Blue one didn’t do – but the Yellow theme got me to switch over from your TXP coder theme.

Perhaps I could get used to the sub-tabs being far out to the left but

I like the Yellow theme better :-)

I like the yellow, the paw print and eye icons seem out of place though.

In the comments section it’s hard to tell a comment marked as spam from one that’s just an even numbered row.

.tgz file? I’d like to try this with smd_admin_themes too, which is installed, but all I see is a zip for the Stung theme, which does’t work. Where’s the venomous snake I can’t see?

The zip worked for me with smd_admin_themes but I think it depends on your environment.

Re: New 4.2.0+ 'Prometheus' Admin theme

I’m afraid it does. It doesn’t work for me whichever file type I use and I suspect that would be the case with many of those who use Stef’s wonderful plugin. Because of this and also because .zip is a more universal compression format and further because I am not going to start supplying several file types on the site, I use .zip on Textgarden.

Now I’m not complaining about Stef’s plugin, it is excellent, especially for theme designers, but I’m wondering if this is a case of a step too far. Maybe this import facility would best be removed. I’m not sure it benefits too many of us and it’s removal might stop arguments about what sort of compression should be used for download files which, after all, is what they are meant to be.

Maybe we should concentrate our efforts more on trying to import front-of-site themes instead. It would be a more useful objective.

That should put the cat amongst the pigeons. ;)
