Top 10 Plugins of 2005
Neutrino asked over on the Plguin board for the Top Plugins ‘you can not live without’. Go over and add your Top 10 pluginlist. Let´s see which are the Top 10 Plugins of 2005 :)
- Mary’s image popper
- Zem’s Contact
are certainly on the list. Which else?

Re: Top 10 Plugins of 2005
I rely on the following plugins…
- ign_password_protect
- zem_contact
- zem_ir
- ako_nav
- jmc_event_manager
I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all the devs who are doing a wonderful job out there!

Re: Top 10 Plugins of 2005
For me:
- bas_img_selector: very nice and useful, expecially because the TXP image system is a little awkward for the average computer user (read: client), IMO.
- glx_admin_image: again very useful for non techies, if only the interface’d be less cluttered.
- nhn_livecommentpreview: /_me likes it very much_. Haven’t yet installed TXP 4.0.3, so I don’t know if this plug-in is still useful.
- glx_gravatar: a killer-app for blogs.
- dru_random_text: I use it for ads (very useful yet dead-simple) and comments (lots of fun, see the article in my sig and check the names of comments authors). Oh, wait! Maybe this is from 2004!!!1 :3
- and obviously zem_contact: should be bundled within TXP.

@alexandra
Thanks for bumping this. I’ll compile a list after we’ve received a few more responses. (It’s ok with me if you want to combine these 2 threads.)
@everyone
Thank you for the replies either here or on the original post. Last time I checked there were 281 plugins at the TXP Resource website. The top plugins question calls for the cream to rise to the top . . . the community’s most used and reliable plugins.

In no particular order
zem_contact
upm_quicktags
upm_img_popper
chh_related_articles
glx_admin_image
pfa_beginning
ob1_googlenav
And though not plugins strictly, and instead some clever coding, I’d say my two favourite pieces are from Stu @ the bombsite for the code to create comprehsnsive archives without a plugin, and the code for creating dynamic links again without a plugin.

Re: Top 10 Plugins of 2005
This is a bit difficult because certain plug-ins I was using last year have now been superceeded by the base code so I no longer use them however if forced to stick to what was good last year:-
zem_contact (replaced by zem_contact_reborn)
ob1_if_section (no longer used)
glx_if (no longer used)
ob1_title (no longer used)
ob1_googlenav
mem_glinklist
glx_gravatar (original version)
sdr_guestbook
ajw_comment_alt
ajw_comments_feed
