Re: Caught in 'setup' limbo

I have changed the txpath setting as you suggested. Nothing much has changed except when I get to the same point in setup, rather than come back to the same screen with config script, it gives me an unloadable page.

The server operating system is Windows 2003 …………. is this a problem?

And it describes the website path as \\nas25ent\domains\r\rspopuk.com\user

“Also, can you confirm that the config.php file is located in the \\nas25ent\\domains\\r\\rspopuk.com\\user\\htdocs\\txp\\textpattern directory, and is readable?”

I have concerns about this. As the config.php file is certainly there. However once I opened it up with all that extra code in it. Right now my ftp browser sees the file but then when Dreamweaver tries to open it, it is not found. However if I copy and paste it to my desktop, there it is in all its glory.

So I am slightly concerned as to whether it is readable or not.

Can you tell me the best way of determining when config.php is readable and working? E.g. do I need to keep going through the setup process, or should I be able to tell by opening index.php?

Once again I am grateful for your help
