Re: Textpattern 4.0.2 Released

What’s with the “Your version of PHP has security related risks. Please turn register_globals off or update to a newer PHP version.” in diagnostics?

My host has register_globals on and PHP 4.3.10, but uses a in-house safety feature called secure_mode which I believe allows safe_mode to be on and not affect the other users if something goes wrong.

Anyway, whats the deal? Can I ignore this?

Re: Textpattern 4.0.2 Released

@oldi: It should show the correct message now. The db on that server hadn’t been updated yet.

@jstubbs: Here are some pointers from the little ? icon next to that message.

txp:if_status allows you to do custom stuff based on http status, eg:

<code><txp:if_status status=“404”><txp:output_form form=“page_not_found_message” /></txp:if_status></code>

Very useful! Thanks chaps!

Re: Textpattern 4.0.2 Released

Chris, can you please open a new topic in troubleshooting and include some more info (like what version you are updating from, how you upgraded, diagnostic info, a link to the site in question etc.)

Re: Textpattern 4.0.2 Released

Woohoo! since I’m still “in process” I’ll just start off with 4.0.2! :-)

One little nitpick on the download page in the upgrade instructions – you might want to advise backing up the htaccess file before replacing it as it may have other non TXP items in it. I knowbacking it up it seems like an obvious thing to do but sometimes the obvious are the most easily overlooked.
