image tags filename

If I want to add an image that I have upload with textpattern I can add the image file between ! marks.
But do I have to use the id assigned by text pattern

eg. The third image I upload would be:

Is it not possible to use the images actual filename?

Thanks, K.

Re: image tags filename

That is the image’s filename, Textpattern renames the images you manage with it. See also:

have txp stop renaming imgs from name.jpg to #.jpg?

Meantime, you could use the image tag, you can use it within article text), rather than Textile syntax.

Re: image tags filename

Thanks.. I tried the image plug-in, it installed ok, but the tags it generates do not seem to display images, the tags look like this:

<txp:upm_image type=“image” image_id=“11” class=“image” />

Is that a valid tag, its not textile anyway, I guess it is a textpattern tag… can you put txtptn tags in the content?

Thanks, Kris.

Re: image tags filename

Oh, that’d be my plugin. You don’t have to use it, but you can. Make sure the plugin is activated. You can also use the built-in tag, image.

Yes, you can use tags within an article body. A current problem is that you won’t be able to preview the results of the tag output, but I’m sending in a patch to hopefully fix that.

Re: image tags filename

A ha… its just the preview that does’nt work!
If thats the case the plug-in will work great, of course it would be better if the preview did work :)

Thanks Mary, great work.
