That’s a KLF copyright breach right there.

Re: Omg WTF New Forum Titles???!1

Out of interest, is there a set number of posts between each or does the number rise at each level? Has anyone figured out the increments? Is the whole thing a puzzle set by Dean to keep us from bothering him?

I kind of like being an Alpha – being a newbie an all. :)

Oh heck I have just been upgraded to beta. Doesn’t sound as good as alpha somehow :)

The “limits” are pretty easy to figure out. But I’m not telling anyone because it’ll just cause more silliness.

…Am I contradicting myself here?

_Edit: Though it may seem pointless, I’m top poster #13 both here and at the TextDrive forum. Odd coincidence… _

I wonder who’ll be the Omega member?

Re: Omg WTF New Forum Titles???!1

I want to add my theory for explaining the use of the greek alphabet to “categorize” the users in the TXP forum.

I think the idea of using the greek alphabet is to confuse (with good intentions) to all the user forums.
Everybody knows the order of the modern alphabet, but no one knows the order of the letters in greek alphabet.

If Dean would used the actual alphabet, everyone would know that a “zeta” user will be an expert user, because Z is the latest letter in our modern alphabet.
But in greek alphabet, “zeta” is one of the first letters.

So, creating this nice confusion, Dean wanted to keep some equality between all users.
I mean, in this way, it’s harder to know if someone is a newbie or an expert user in the forum.
And so, no one discards or accepts an answer by thinking “hey, he/she is newbie/expert, i should discard/take his/her advice on how to use TXP

All we know is that “alphas” and “betas” users are newbies, so we have to be kind with those ones.

After that, we are all equals, and a “zeta” user can give a good advice as one a “phi” user could give.

I would bet that I know some little secrets about using TXP that Dean nor Zem nor Kusor nor Sencer dont know :D

I dont know if I explained myself. My english is a bit baroque.
