Re: Manji ported to TXP
Zero, the “live installation” only lasts as long as it takes me to move on to something else. I only post the links here so that I can get reaction from people with browsers other than those I use. That way I can fix any little glitches before I sort out the download file. Once that is done I have full-scroll screen shots included in my release article which the good Father Luke has linked to. With all the styles I have ported I simply can’t keep a live installation of everything. You can now see “demos” at TextGarden but I am still working through them so they aren’t all ready yet. I’m trying to do a couple a day. Apart from that my test site has moved but you are welcome to watch Magic Dust as it gets sprinkled around. :)

Re: Manji ported to TXP
Oh.
I have a question.
I could e-mail but having it here on the forum leaves
breadcrumbs for those who follow.
How do I adjust to the way that comments
are listed when there is more than one, Stuart?
The plugins that come standard with Manji include
glx_if created by – Johan Nilsson
Would I begin to look there?
Currently the default when there is more than one says:
Comment
I should like to change that to simply say
Comments
Also, is there a way to change the default message after
a comment has been posted? I hold them for moderation
until I can get a handle on spam filters. The current
default message is:
Thank you for adding your comment.
Your comment is pending moderation. It will appear after it has been approved.
I would like to alter that.
Anyone know where to find that?
Aloha,
Father Luke

Oh. One more thing.
On the Links page
If I don’t want a description, Stuart,
I still get
::
after the link.
Would you know where I could
dissable that?
Where do I hack the codes for the links page?
Thanks,
Father Luke

Re: Manji ported to TXP
All the little messages and bits of text are kept in the language file which you can find in /textpattern/lang/. If you do change anything you will need to maintain your own copy of the file which will involve comparing it to the latest language file as new tags get added. You will also need to import it manually from the “Language” tab that you can find in “Preferences”. The manual import facility is at the bottom below the language list. I haven’t done this myself so have no experience with it. :(
Something else for you to think about. TXP Manji was released before there was a “Thank You” message so it is unstyled. If you add “p#txpCommentInputForm” to your CSS you can style it in there.

Re: Manji ported to TXP
The links page is covered overall by the links_page form template and the individual links are covered by the Noted form template which is where you will find the ::

Thank you Stuart.
I had futzed around and created what you see here
when your post came in.
I’m gonn’a tackle it in the morning.
This coding stuff and sleep need to find a compromise
I say get rid of sleep.

I was going to ask whether you hadn’t gone to bed or just like listening to the dawn chorus. Yeah, sleep has to go. I think that possibility might not be too far down the road. :)
Like that new arrow. :)
