Re: Manji ported to TXP

Sorted! You were using “messy” URLs in “preferences”. The Manji install assumes “clean” URLs in the “/section/id/title” format. If you want to use a different format you will need to change the menu calls in the “top_navigation” form template to reflect your preference. I’ve added some extra blurb to the readme to point this out to users.

No problem. If you mean “Rin” then yes! You are not the first to ask. ;)

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Noticed a little typo: In forms you have comments_form and it should be comment_form. Also the comment form is missing the curve at the top.

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Sorry Lee. Something else to add to the readme. I’ll fix the typo and you will find that image is in the comment_form template itself rather than the CSS. It’s just a TXP image tag so simply change the number to whatever you are using.

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Think you missed out <code><div id=“commentformtop”><txp:image id=”?” /></div></code> from the top of the comment_form.

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Thanks Lee. I think you may have downloaded quite soon after I made it available. The form was modified quite early on. The current download does include the image tag. I have corrected the typo and added some extra blurb to the installation instructions to cover that and the possible use of a URL format that doesn’t match the included one. If you find anything else do let me know.

If anyone else has questions regarding the installation of TXP Manji I would suggest that they either email me directly or comment on my website. I’m quite happy to help out but I don’t think this is really the proper place. :)

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Stu.

I had attempted to install your port of Manji on my site.
You might remember me. I backed out and returned to WordPress.

Well. . . the more I looked at your port, the more I looked
at Textpattern.

I’m trying again. I just am soooo drawn to textpattern. I will have to
learn a different way of saying what I now know how to say, but I really
like textpattern.

I am running into a problem on the comments.

I don’t know that call in textpatern but it goes like this. . .

The remember/forget check box in text pattern.
What’s that called?

The txp:comment_remember call. . .

The Remember box is there, Stu, but the
Forget box never shows up.

I’ve posted the comments code here: http://pastebin.com/390871

Can anyone see if I have done something to hack
that fuction into unworkability?

Here is the test site: http://www.FatherLuke.org/

Oh, and Stu? Your port rocks so much that even after I gave up
I have come back to it. You rule, you crazy maniac.

Okay,
Father Luke

Re: Manji ported to TXP

Okay, I found it.

There is a call about halfway down
(aprox line 55 and 57)

txp:if_no_cookie

then, immediately following is

txp:if_cookie

without another call for the forget/remember

so, I then just added

txp:comment_remember

where I felt it was apropriate
and, Voila! I can be forgotten.

Seems like a lot of work, just so I may be forgotten.
I like it. . . (evil grin)

This is sort of a bug, Stu.
And finding it is sort of my little way of thanking you.

Which I can never do enough . . .

Okay,
Father Luke

Re: Manji ported to TXP

I clicked on the Live Installation link above and had to wait 45 seconds to get a fancy 404 :-(

If the site is for geeks then great but otherwise a simple 2 sec 404 please!

UPDATE: I am still reading your 404 as it magically goes into great depth about the reason for the 404 and why it is or isn’t your fault and could be this reason or that reason……

Ah! I get it now! The 404 <strong>IS</strong> your website! Nice one:-)
