Measure Out Bound Links
We all know the log file in the admin section shows usage of the site, but is there a plugin available which can show what out bound links have been clicked ?

Re: Measure Out Bound Links
no, it’s not there on the server side – there isn’t an “exit” statistic that you can get. probably the simplest way to do it, however, would be to insert some javascript to change all links to http://www.your.com/track.php?url=http…., and have track.php record the link url.

No plug-in, but I did mod my install to do this a while ago. I had planned on turning this in to an admin plug-in, so I think i’ll bump up its priority a little bit.

Re: Measure Out Bound Links
I created a link redirection file that you should put in your textpattern folder. The file has bbclone and shortstat links at the bottom (just uncomment). It also logs to textpattern’s logs.
Then get mem_glinklist and specify the linkto=“1” attribute for the tag. This will generate links back to the link.php page.

Re: Measure Out Bound Links
link.php is gone and mem_glinklist no longer supports this linkto functionality. I’ll add it to my todo list.
