I will add them to the default TXP languages ASAP. Btw, do you want to become a Textpattern translator?

Re: Traditional & Simplified Chinese lang for Ver4.0

Chinese(Traditional) for Taiwan and Hong Kong
Chinese(Simplified) for China
Being named is “Chinese(Traditional)” and “Chinese(Simplified)” so all right.

Re: Traditional & Simplified Chinese lang for Ver4.0

I would like to become a Textpattern translator.

Hi start, I just recently asked a longtime Textpattern user, Jenny Cheuk, to work on traditional and simplified Chinese for the helpfiles and language strings, and she’s interested in collaborating with you on this. More details via email.

Re: Traditional & Simplified Chinese lang for Ver4.0

To start: This is Jenny. I think you may interest to read an article I wrote after translating Txp 1.0rc2 into Chinese and have more understanding about me on the issue of localisation before we work together: http://www.jennyishere.net/article/185/

To Dean: Can we have a Chinese (中文) sub-forum? And you even know “Cheuk” is a Chinese surname!!

And to kusor: Both Traditional and Simplified Chinese in Chinese is 中文— nothing of these two characters can be more simplified :)

Re: Traditional & Simplified Chinese lang for Ver4.0

We need something to differentiate them, as in English (GB) and English (US) maybe.
But in chinese rather than english. As in:

中文 (合作)
中文 (愉快)
(sorry for the nonsense, I just copy & pasted)

Re: Traditional & Simplified Chinese lang for Ver4.0

Oh yes Sencer, I’m sorry that I forgot about it. So,

For Traditional Chinese: 中文(繁體)
For Simplified Chinese: 中文(简体)

And Sencer you may not know that you are good at picking up “nonsense” words! 合作 means cooperation and 愉快 means happily :)
