Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

OK, I’ve been away in Texas for a week – any news? Any sign of a final? Do I need to prewarn my cheese suppliers of an impending need for Stinking Bishop?

Cheers,

You’ll be lucky. It’s been 5 for at least a week.

If you lok at the Trac timeline you will notice that a number of bugs ( over 15 ) were resolved last weekend. It looks like Dean, Zem and Kusor are spending their free time during the weekends to work on TXP. ( note: Thanks guys. Really appreciate it.) They are probably too busy with work during the weekdays.

So hopefully, this weekend, they ought to be able to clear up the remaining bugs.

Of course, I don’t know how complex those bugs are, and how much time it will take to solve them. And hopefully, new bugs don’t crop up.

If those conditions are fulfilled, it is very likely, that we might see TXP after this weekend, or maybe another week.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

For me, it doesn’t really matter when v.1 is released. the few remaining bugs do not effect me, and I can design websites with them.

Of course I am eager for v.1 to be released, but it is not going to make a big difference for me right now. What will make a difference, is what will happen after v1 is released for 1.1 and 1.2 etc.

I’m with you on that. I’m about ready to just use RC3— I’ve been haulting development on a site since it was announced. I’ll have to look through the bugs again, though, to make sure I won’t run into any of them.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

I’ve been holding off on development of a new project hoping for a tarballed v1.0, but I think I can procrastinate no longer. How does one go about downloading RC3? Assume nothing in your explanation, please.

And are there any site crippling bugs I should be aware of going into this?

Thank you.
