Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
RC3 isn’t stable. It’s constantly being updated with bug fixes so it can become 1.0 (hopefully very soon).
If that doesn’t bother you, would like a peek at it…

Your server need to have SVN (Subversion) capability. Try a shell svn
to see if your server know what it is.
If it’s the website on your profile, I seriously doubt that jexiste even know what SVN is :-D

Those are directions to use SVN on Linux, and they give the same RC3 you just got. :)

Apologies if this is the wrong place, but…
WOW! You guys closed a dozen tickets over the weekend.
Congratulations and THANK YOU. Here’s to seeing a v1.0 very shortly.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Same for that last 2 week-ends if I remember correclty. Debuging takes time, but I can’t where there would be room for improvement (taken into account that Dean has some TXD work to do – and TXD need it – , Zem and Kusor has job – and life hanging commitment :p – too).
One thing though, it validate the request made several month ago for a third release candidate. I can’t see how final could have been final without a RC3, we are now around 220 new versions after RC3 release, most (if not nearly all) of it because of the users and community of TXP.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Well that’s even better, congrats guys!
I’m certainly reporting any bugs I find. (Do I report them so they can be fixed, or not knowing I’ll be creating Dean, Zem and Kusor more work? :P)

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Seems like more things are being moved to 1.1 and the list of bugs for 1.0 is quickly dwindling. I’d expect 1.0 pretty soon :-)
…and I reported a bug too, now happily fixed :)

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
yeah, I’m taking a strict view of ‘bugs’ (something that actually breaks the app) from ‘optimization’ (why doesn’t it work the way i think it should?) for now, and I’d only post real bugs for now (the only ones i’ve seen were already reported). once we actually have a 1.0, I’ll start sunmitting the little stuff.
that said, Dean may have an obsession with NOT releasing a 1.0 – I think he once refered to TXP as a CMS that refused to be born… case in point adding a feature as significant as the mod file upload AFTER a RC3 release! I’ve never been good at feature-locks either… so tedious!

I disagree. It’s not so much a feature added, more like some basic, obvious, minimal, need to be fulfilled :)
