Two issues with 4.7.0

Hey there, just upgraded one site to 4.7 and I ran into two issues:

1) Themes
The theme tab cannot be accessed. The error goes sth. like this:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'UnexpectedValueException' with message 'RecursiveDirectoryIterator::__construct(/xxx): failed to open dir: Permission denied' in /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Iterator/RecDirIterator.php:55 Stack trace:
#0 /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Iterator/RecDirIterator.php(55): RecursiveDirectoryIterator->__construct('/xxx...', 4624)
#1 [internal function]: Textpattern\Iterator\RecDirIterator->__construct('/xxx...', 4624)
#2 /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Iterator/RecFilterIterator.php(70): RecursiveDirectoryIterator->getChildren() #3 [internal function]: Textpattern\Iterator\RecFilterIterator->getChildren()
#4 /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Skin/Skin.php(459): RecursiveIteratorIterator->rewind()
#5 /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Skin/Skin.php(482): Textpattern\Skin\Skin->setUploaded() #6 /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpatt in /xxx/textpattern/vendors/Textpattern/Iterator/RecDirIterator.php on line 55

I’m running on PHP5.5.9.

2) Checksums
In the diagnosis tab, I get loads of notifications for modified files. I’ve had that in 4.6.2 as well, after the upgrade. Maybe the server is missing a PHP module to process the checkums?

Any ideas?

Cheers,
-f

PS btw, did the textile help tab disappear? I kind of miss that!
PPS apart from that, great work, as usual!!

Ups, one more issue unfortunately: when I want to preview a hidden page, it fails with unknown_section

That sounds like you might have a mismatch of new and old files, which might be a factor in your 1) messages. Is Diagnostics reporting version 4.7.0 or something else?

Re: Two issues with 4.7.0

Yep, it says 4.7.0. I copied the complete directories via FTP, so there can’t be an actual mismatch.

I had the same issue with the 4.6.2 update, that I’d just used on the same site the other day.

Hmm, something is acting a bit strange, can you post your textpattern/checksums.txt as a reply? There is no sensitive information in there, so don’t worry.

Also, as a follow up, can you post textpattern/lib/constants.php? Again, nothing sensitive in there.

Please check if your root themes directory is writable. You’ll probably need to set the same permissions that for files and images.

It’s a link to textpattern.com/textile-sandbox now, aside “Use Textile” option of body/excerpt fields.

Re: Two issues with 4.7.0

Downgrading brought the site back, but txp is stuck in the language panel. Will have to revert to the last backup of the database ,-(

What version were you running prior to upgrading?

Re: Two issues with 4.7.0

4.6.2, and 4.5.7 before that.

Re: Two issues with 4.7.0

Can you post your current diagnostics here, please? Remove any domain identifiers, replace with example.com or similar.

There have been some cases of upgrades stuck on the language page, but they tended to be very old (pre-4.2.0) versions.

Re: Two issues with 4.7.0

I just read that, over in the other thread. I downgraded the version in txp_prefs in mysql to 4.6.2, so txp is back and luckily I won’t have to use my backup (which is a couple days old).

Phew …
