Yep, long-standing client brought a project forward by a year and they have offices in two timezones that (conveniently) trample either end of my weekends. So it goes.

Booo! Hope it’s a positive thing and that you’ve just swapped your weekends with your week, so you get 5 days off and 2 working ;-)
Waiting to hear if jakob can make it over the last weekend of October.
btw, we’re down in Cornwall again next summer. Boscastle. Like, a 15 (Cornish) minute drive from you.

That’s like 1 hour 35 minutes drive from my neck of the woods. As gaekwad good choice.

Just heard that jakob is available over the weekend of the 27/28/29 October (yay!) so is this still on? Wondering if the Cotswolds might be nice (weather permitting). Lots of pubs. Lots of opportunities for cake. Lots of places to nip out for a walk in the hills if the mood takes us.
It’s not too far for me, doable from London. I’m game if anyone else is.

I can be available that weekend. Cotswolds are fairly easy for me to get to and my parents live in that area so I can pop in to them as well, which will keep them happy! Let me know.

North Cotswolds is best for me, somewhere around Chipping Norton/Bourton-on-the-Water/Moreton-in-Marsh all good.

Bloody hell, the Cotswolds is expensive :-) Even a bog standard Premier Inn or HI Express in Stratford – a half hour drive from Chipping Norton – is over £120 for 2 nights, and some of the closer inns and B&Bs in the villages are twice that.
The search continues for a place to stay. I might end up only staying one night! If so, I expect Friday night (27th Oct) will be a better bet as I can have the whole day Saturday then, and just drive back home Saturday evening. But I can drive down Saturday morning, meet up for lunch, spend the afternoon with y’all, stay Saturday night, wander around Sunday morning (maybe meet up again if time permits) and go back Sunday afternoon if that’s preferable for you guys. I’m easy.
