Although most of us have to work for a living, but if you like sun, see, and chillin’, it actually is.:)

Perhaps next year – I’ll have moved house by then (down the road) and 300Mbps fibre is on the cards…

Re: Textpattern UK user group meetup: autumn 2017

I’m going to heavy pencil in Bristol-Gloucester area this year. That’s roughly central, and within travelling distance for jakob.

Plus, there’s Bristol airport nearby for anyone wanting to fly in. Also, last weekend of October 2017: 28th-29th.

Any objections? Sound off, please.

Perfect for me. I can probably do the Friday travel down thing as it’s half term that week.

Ok, central Bristol (possibly Millenium Square) would be fine for me. We can also go to that Cider Boat where I got very drunk once.

Re: Textpattern UK user group meetup: autumn 2017

So…news. My weekends just got tricky for the next 8 months or so. Work stuff just took an interesting turn.

I’m gonna have to pull out of this one. Sorry, guys.

Yep, long-standing client brought a project forward by a year and they have offices in two timezones that (conveniently) trample either end of my weekends. So it goes.

Re: Textpattern UK user group meetup: autumn 2017

Booo! Hope it’s a positive thing and that you’ve just swapped your weekends with your week, so you get 5 days off and 2 working ;-)

Waiting to hear if jakob can make it over the last weekend of October.

btw, we’re down in Cornwall again next summer. Boscastle. Like, a 15 (Cornish) minute drive from you.

That’s like 1 hour 35 minutes drive from my neck of the woods. As gaekwad good choice.

Re: Textpattern UK user group meetup: autumn 2017

Just heard that jakob is available over the weekend of the 27/28/29 October (yay!) so is this still on? Wondering if the Cotswolds might be nice (weather permitting). Lots of pubs. Lots of opportunities for cake. Lots of places to nip out for a walk in the hills if the mood takes us.

It’s not too far for me, doable from London. I’m game if anyone else is.

Re: Textpattern UK user group meetup: autumn 2017

I can be available that weekend. Cotswolds are fairly easy for me to get to and my parents live in that area so I can pop in to them as well, which will keep them happy! Let me know.
