Re: RFC: official nginx support
It’s a good idea to add nginx support, it’s not difficult to implement. A bit later I will prepare a patch.
BTW, I wanted to test nginx + HHVM , it works the same way as nginx + PHP-FPM.
aks_cron : Cron inside Textpattern | aks_article : extended article_custom tag
aks_cache : cache for TxP | aks_dragdrop : Drag&Drop categories (article, link, image, file)

Re: RFC: official nginx support
I have replaced Apache to NginX last year, and after testing and learning I’ve completely removed both of them, and installed Hiawatha — modern, lightweight, robust, and very secure webserver:
New and old Textpattern installations work smoothly on Hiawatha webserver: http://on.lt/hiawatha — sorry, my comparison with Apache, Cherokee, OLS, G-Wan, Hiawatha, Lighttpd, NginX servers in Lithuanian language only, although with corresponding links in English.

Re: RFC: official nginx support
i am no coder, not even in my dreams, but i sure like the sound of Hiawatha
“Hiawatha1 is an important figure in the precolonial history of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) of present-day southern Ontario and upper New York (ca. 1400–1500s)”
1 i like it has Canadian roots as does textpattern
