Happy birthday to me: 10 years using TXP!

Today it’s my tenth birthday as TXP user (well, as forum user) and I can only say thank you.

Thanks to the forum community for it support.
Thanks to the core, plugin and theme developers for his time.

Ten years ago I started to dig CMS to make a decision of wich one fits better my skills. As web designer I was not very interested on learning deeply PHP, other CMS used to force me to follow strict structures and rules… I was looking for powerful but simple tool, a tool that respect my freedom as designer and HTML coder.

Textpattern gave me all that stuff and more. This years I have tried to pay back the community helping people in the forum (with my poor English, I’m trying to improve it!) and telling everybody arround me about TXP.

Hope to enjoy a lot of years more using TXP and learning and helping people at this awesome forum.

<txp:thank-you/>

Happy Birthday! (Or Hippie Bath Day, as I like to say.) Time to take all that knowledge and start writing Spanish TXP Mag articles. ;)

My ten years went by without me noticing, or I would have drank a Sheaf Stout. It’s one of my faves, and the label and brew seem appropriately colored to classic Textpattern, where it all began for me. But you can’t find Sheaf in France, so I drink my favorite beer of all instead (though more expensive), Chimay Bleu, which could also work as a Textpattern beer with respect to contemporary appearances and function. Finesse!

Thanks Destry. I will drink a cool Mahou tonight (my favourite local beer brand).

Very nice testimonial.

Hey, Bert, here you have an “ñ” (a.k.a. “eñe”), because, you know, “anos” refers to some obscure part of our anatomy…

I’m on an English keyboard, and I don’t have many people I correspond with in Spanish, so entering n tilde is not something I do very often.

And yeah, ano does have another meaning, we say culo in our Spanglish world.

Don’t worry, I understood perfectly your intention of saying “years” when I read it. :-D

Happy 10th anniversary, milosevic!

Quite contrary to your never-do-well namesake, you’re amonge those people who attract positive attention, by helping others, I’m certainly not the only one who’s noticed that. Happy Mahou-ing tonight! :)

I think he’s the oldest. Period. ;)

Actually I think most of us here are a bunch of old farts. Not all, not all.
