Re: New forum theme
BTW, the discussion continues deeper in that topic when Els picked up on the subject.

Re: New forum theme
Maybe we should offer links from here to other txp support forums which cater for the non English speaking public.

Re: New forum theme
The decision was made to concentrate efforts on English language as a priority for the forum and also the user documentation as we simply don’t have the resources to maintain multiple languages (the user documentation is way out of sync between languages at the moment).
However, the forum code is publicly available on GitHub so there is nothing to stop enterprising users to host their own Textpattern forum in their native language if desired. We would then put links into the footer of the brand sites (like we have done with Textpattern.ru).
It was not a decision we took lightly, but most of the international forums were empty with either no posts or, worse, questions that went unanswered.
That could change in the future though. Once we get the user documentation site updated we’ll review the situation again.

Re: New forum theme
Oh, now with more touches of mustard-yellow…
Thanks for improving the login pane – one less keystroke!
One nitpick: the login link is now hard to find, especially with the small sized text, hard on the old eyes.
PS, that self growing textarea is annoying. Is that really necessary? Most browser have the facility to resize textareas nowadays.
Where is that emoji for a solar powered submarine when you need it ?

I think Jukka did the auto-expanding textareas primarily for better mobile experience.

Re: New forum theme
Oh, great, really! I was going to suggest to compact the vertical navigation menu (Index, Search, …) on mobile devices, but seemingly, the telepathy mode is still on. :)

Re: New forum theme
Thank you for all the work and the improvements!
For a short moment I saw a yellow left border in the blockquotes, what I liked very much. But now they are gone and I can’t longer reproduce the initial effect.

The yellow border should be there. Maybe refresh your cache.

Re: New forum theme
The border is there, it was another misunderstanding in my brain. I to myself: “Refresh your brain!”

Re: New forum theme
- Changed: More prominent blockquote styling.
I appreciate this. Not only because of the yellow ;) but it wasn’t very clear to me before. Thanks!
- Switch Share button to Google +1.
Where is this? It’s probably me, but I don’t see a Share button.

Re: New forum theme
Sorry, after some deliberation I entirely removed the social sharing buttons. I think are users are savvy enough to know how to share a link on social media with some clunky old buttons iframed into the page.
I just didn’t remove that entry from the changelog.
