How are the Gallery plugins different?

I’ve come accross at least 3 gallery plugins/hacks on this site. Being a less technical person, I can’t really tell the difference between them. Anyone care to elaborate

Re: How are the Gallery plugins different?

they work differently, of course.
albumpattern requires you to modify some of the source code of textpattern.
dean’s gallery plugin is pretty simple, but still limited by what textpattern can do natively.
the others, well, install ‘em and try ‘em out. that’s the best bet.

you could also look into using software such at photostack or flickr

Re: How are the Gallery plugins different?

I posted something the other day along these lines, but only one person has responded. I think it’d be great to have several links to gallery sites all in one thread to better allow side-by-side comparison.

There are already a couple over on “my” thread, so let’s keep them there, shall we?
