Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Ok. They say this:
As far as I can see from the PHP Settings menu of your account control panel with us, you have this PHP function enabled for your account, which I have just disabled. Please check this issue again from your end.
Well, the error message at my end is still there.
One other thing, the options under Advanced run out at ‘Default admin tab’
Any other ideas?

Not sure, but I would have thought such a setting would remain in effect until the server is restarted.

That’s expected, given the error. (The next item is “Admin-side theme”, where the error occurs.)

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
So… perhaps it will just go away?

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Hosting administrators now say:
There is no old cached information on the server that could cause such an issue

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Sorry we haven’t fixed this yet. Let’s at least find out whether or not /textpattern/index.php is involved. Rename the file index.4.3.0.php and then add that to the URL (mysite/textpattern/index.4.3.0.php). (If this is a client site, make a copy of the file so there’s still an index.php for the client to use.) Then go to advanced prefs. Is the error still there?

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Hi jsoo
yes, the same ‘fatal error’ message is still there.

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Well, that seems to shoot down my theory. Have you tried re-upgrading?

Re: [SOLVED] remora_theme error message
Success! I re-upgraded and the error message briefly flashed up, then disappeared, and the rest of the advanced options then appeared.
Many thanks, jsoo

Whew :)
I guess there’s a good reason tech support people usually start with, “Power down, wait 30 seconds, then power up again. Did that fix it?”
