Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

im having problems getting MLP to work with fresh install of txp 4.3

for some reason theres no dropdown box for language on write tab, and neither does written articles show up on MLP table view.

Havent tried yet without other plugins, i think its next step even tho it feels fustrating as i just setup everything nicely.
i have installed following ones before MLP:
hak_tinyMCE
ied_hide_in_admin
smd_lib

any helps on this matter?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Great plugin once I installed all the elements and removed the ones that could not work together it works perfectly on my site. I had to manually modify the tables for localization but that was not to bad once I knew what I had to do.

You can see it here:“http//virtality.net”

Thanks

Comments, suggestions and questions always welcome.

Can you elaborate on that? What did you remove and what modifications did you make? Also, are you using Txp 4.3.0?

MLP isn’t 4.3.0 proof yet. See here:

For those wanting to upgrade their Txp install to 4.3.0 (rc): so far found two three issues, #32, #33 and #36. If you find anything else, please post it either here or there.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I had to disable the zem_contact_lang and only use the zem_contact_lang-mlp and zem_contact_reborn, in addition, or course to gbp_admin_library, and l10n. I also had to go the php admin, change the txp_section table, l10n_title_es (Spanish) and enter the sections in that language since the textpattern interface would not save the changes. I am using Textpattern version: 4.2.0 (r3275).

Thank you :)

Yes, you can find that in the readme.txt.

Yes, you will need to do that if your PHP version doesn’t fit the requirements.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I want to install it in another site but since it’s so intrusive. I need a good back up plug in. Do you recommend one? The last one rss_admin_db_manager, did not work for me.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

rss_admin_db_manager doesn’t work with my server settings either :( Unfortunately there is no other backup plugin. Mary was working on a new version, I hope she will have the time someday to finish it. You could use a cron job though.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Oh darn, I missed that :-/
Any idea if those issues will be resolved soon? Otherwise I’ll have to revert back to 4.2.0…
Cheers,
B.
