Control the order that articles appear
Is there a built in mechanism to control the order in which articles are listed via the admin interface?
Currently they appear in the order they are created but I need a way for the user to control which order an article is to appear in regardless of when they were authored

Re: Control the order that articles appear
Ah, what I meant is the order the articles appear on the site not in the admin area

There is a plugin, but it’s not maintained anymore and I don’t know if it still works.

Re: Control the order that articles appear
Then there is also the old-fashioned method of simply manipulating the posted date of your articles – no plugin required.

….as a follow up to this post. This is the first time that i was aware that there was a timestamp option under the More tab of the CP. How does one have this area remain open. is there a setting?

Re: Control the order that articles appear
In 4.2.0 the toggle states are remembered, so you only have to click it once and it will remain open – even after logging out and in again :)
Edit: see also my post here.
