.net is much older. It was created in january 1985 ;)

I sent out some emails to Future PLC, asking them when .net magazine was named.
By the number of issues, 193, divided by 13 per year = almost 15 years. So I don’t doubt the magazine came out in 1994, just wondering if it was called .net from it’s inception.

I used to write for the Italian edition of .net (licensed from the UK publisher) in 1998 and before that I was a regular reader since 1996, IIRC. The magazine was indeed founded in 1994 or so. Besides, the framework is called .NET. No, wait, the proper name is Microsoft .NET. End of story. :)
