Looking for: admin plugin that generates permlink
I have looked several times, but I cannot find the right search string to get this question answered: is there a plugin that generates permlink tags for articles?
In the admin pages, there is a ‘tags’ column in the images, files and links tabs that can generate textile or texpattern tags to link to the file, image or link and that can be pasted in an article.
Is there a plugin that can do the same for article links, so you can have internal links? (I’m a bit baffled that is not standard in Textpattern anyway), like generating the appropriate <txp:permlink id="">
tag?

tennapel,
what have you tried exactly? what didn’t work? did you installed wet_peex (for wet_quicklink to work, you need to install it)?

There are lots of people here willing to help – but we can’t help without any information.
In your initial post you asked if there was a plugin for internal links. There is – and it does work.
If you are having trouble getting it to work, then try asking for help in the appropriate place
There is also some good documentation here

Re: Looking for: admin plugin that generates permlink
Installing is not the problem, but the plugin only produces the wetlink-style tags no matter what you choose. I am a Mac user and I have tried it on several browsers, but always with the same result: only a wetlink-tag is produced and not a permlink-tag.
Since the site will be maintained by mac users also, that’s not practical.

Re: Looking for: admin plugin that generates permlink
Hi tennapel, I am a mac user too. On ff3.5.x using wet’s plugin I get <txp:permlink id="896" title="some title">sample text</txp:permlink>
. Are you sure that you are using it properly?

Re: Looking for: admin plugin that generates permlink
After a lot of tinkering I came up with this voodoo to get it to work:
- first install wet_peex
- then install wet_quicklink
- activate wet_peex first
- active wet_quicklink second
- log out
- close browsers
- open browser
- log back in
Then highlighting text and inserting the link will work (Camino and Safari 4). The Voodoo does sound far too much like ‘repair permissions’ to solve any problem to me, but this was the only way I got it to work (and believe me, I have tried it many times).
Thanks everyone for their help!
