Am I missing something here? It appears that messages (eg. “article poopoo created”) don’t show up since I loaded the theming revision.

Just double checked. I get the message on the plugin tab (installed, updated), but not on any other tabs it seems.

It’s appearing on my installs. Is this happening for you with all themes or just one in particular?

Hmm. . In my case, it is appearing on one install, and not on the second install. The first (working install) is the one I am on most often. That’s why I had not noticed the issue prior.
Both are latest svn. Both have the same themes installed. The message is present across different themes on the first install. It is missing across Remora and SeaGloss on the second install.
I’ll have to do some digging to see what might be causing it.

I think r3177 fixes the remaining problems with admin themeing.
Heads up for theme authors: theme::announce() replaces the theme::messenger() method, for the sake of disambiguation.

When/where/how exactly does this error occur? Any additional plugins loaded? Usual voodoo (clear cache, sacrifice an innocent virgin to the browser gods) performed?
