Hi, are you using it in a local environment? If so you have to create a virtual host as explained earlier on this thread (read from here)

Big note: I am using glz_custom_fields 1.2 with Gerhard’s modifications to TXP 4.0.8.

Which modifications? I’ve never heard about them, am I missing something?.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

There is a v1.2 beta that I’ve started circulating not long ago, only a handful of people have it so that I can stabilize it and then release the tried & tested stable to everyone else. If you want the beta, PM or e-mail me your @.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

After I installed adi_menu ‘static section’ isn’t working anymore. After being logged in as staff writer, all the static sections are visible in the section menu.

I think it’s because adi_menu changes the section menu: to visualise the (sub) sections hierarchy, it inserts no-break spaces ( ) before the sub section names.

Fixed in adi_menu version 0.9.2.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Well, tested on an original textpattern 4.0.8 instalation, and in a 4.0.7 doesnt work either.
I made the changes wet posted, and tested also the ones mrdale posted, and I have it installed in a subfolder.
Does it work for all of you?

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Hi RedBot,
No, its not a local environment, I just installed everything form scratch and still doesnt work,
Did everything Wet said on that post, installed both plugins and edited one of them with his code.
But all the custom fields are displayed.

If someone is using wets code with glz_custom_fields 1.2 and textpattern 4.0.8 and made it work, please let me know.

Just did some testing on my local environment. Sadly sed_section_field does NOT work on Gerhards 4.0.8 branch. I tried it with and without glz_custom_fields 1.2 installed. In both cases custom fields would not hide. So I guess it’s a conflict between Gerhards txp modifications and sed_section_fields.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

As Robert mentions in his post, sed_section_fields is now orphaned. I’ll be picking it up, integrating it into glz_custom_fields v1.3 which I promise that it won’t take another year to ship : ).

In the meantime, I will look at a quick fix for the discrepancies, I’m sure it’s something silly like and ID or the wrong function being referenced. I’ve skimmed through sed_section_fields quickly and that’s what my spider senses are saying.

You’ll probably have a loads of fun with these new callbacks.

Can you break that down a bit? I mean a pluggable write page UI looks great, but can you be just a wee bit more specific?
