[archived] tcm_if_article_image ... just another conditional
Notice: This thread is archived, this can be achieved with a combination of txp tags now.
**********************************************************
it will output the contained text if there is an article image. use it in the article form or it wouln’t work. ‘nuff said.
(hope noone has done this… I couldn’t seem to find any info on it)

Re: [archived] tcm_if_article_image ... just another conditional
I did an update since I personally needed an else statement.
Plugins:
ob1_advanced_search 1.032b, ob1_search_score 1.0, ob1_pagination 2.5, ob1_title 4.1, ob1_modified 2.1

Ok, I think I’m a bit dense, but how exactly do you go about using this plug in?
EDIT:
errr. forget it. I got it now.

I’m a newbie to textpattern.. Would someone give me a “for dummies” introduction… how do I use this tag?
Thanks in advance,

Re: [archived] tcm_if_article_image ... just another conditional
i could be wrong, and haven’t yet used the plugin myself..
but my impression is that this is a conditional to see if there is an image in that article.. if there is, then you can have information output such as “See the picture below” or something… but if there is no image, then you don’t want it to say that.
see the usage example

Re: [archived] tcm_if_article_image ... just another conditional
Thanks Alicson.. hmm.. what I’m trying to do may not be doable.. which is to output a “table of contents” type list of articles which have images associated with them, and a separate list of those that do not. That is what I am having trouble with. Would this tag even be useful for that?

Perfect, thanks! It’s simple, but it’s just what I needed. (I wonder if this functionality is packaged in another plugin, though.)

does that mean there is now a tag that says <txp:if_article_image> ?
