Re: File upload from visitors side(From front end) in Textpattern.
Dear Steve,
Thanks a lot your post. Sorry for not being specific.
Actually, I just want to upload in files directory but not to Txp’s file’s table. I just upload file in a folder.
For example it may be inside public_html/files.
First user who wants to upload stuffs, must login. After the successful login, upload window follows, from there, User will upload file.
Why am I doing this?
It’s just for my client’s convenience. Instead of using some FTP to upload file they will just use website and upload bigger size file.
I will write to mem_form forum thread as well.
Thank you for your help

I’ve replied over on the mem_form_thread too — but you still haven’t said what is meant to happen to the file after it’s uploaded. Will it just stay there? Who needs to access it? How does it need to be accessed — ftp or web download etc?
You could also take a look at Stef’s smd_remote_file file-management plugin in case that’s of use to you. There are also other file-sharing systems that could be used for large files. You might hit some limits on the sizes of files that php allows you to transfer.
