finchstudio.com
I’m not entirely finished nor am I entirely pleased with this layout. I really like the design, colors, etc. but I don’t feel as though it’s as fluid / readable as I would like [which could be entirely due to the fact that I opted to use puke green as the layout emphasis]
Any suggestions on… anything really would be lovely!
Cheers

Re: finchstudio.com
I can give you my opinion as a user which is yuk that green and red! It’s not too bad actually but I wouldn’t want to stare at that screen too long. And the sidebar font-size is very small. And I find Verdana easier to read than Arial. But those are just my personal preferences so I wouldn’t change anything unless other people agree with me.
As you’ve mentioned fluid, making the main content a percentage width might improve it, so people don’t have to scroll across as well as down.

I think I needed to hear someone say how awful the green was because I changed it to blue and I like it loads more. Thanks for the comments :)

Re: finchstudio.com
Its not bad (very quick look). I notice the right sidebar text overlaps the screen a little, causing a horizontal scrollbar on a 1024 × 768 screen. Might be a float not cleared, or something else.

finchstudio,
Bad for you, but 10 % of males and 1% of womens won’t be able to tell the difference between green and red. That also comes to that blue thing that you have there: its’ quite greenish.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_blindness
So you should definetly change the colours or many user will see only a blank page.
PS. I’m not color blind — I have high colour-senses – and I can tell: my eyes hurt, a lot, because the radiotain level of green and red: they cause headec together. And by the way, use calm or bold colors, as those regular-solid ones really makes eyes bleed. They are good for pictures, comis and so on, but not for websites that you have read. Have you tried to read comics where the text’s color is red, and it’s surrounded with green buble? After the 100 pages of that, and you cant even tell differences between bicments, black and white :D
Cheers!

Re: finchstudio.com
Interesting colourchoice but the link colour bleeds abit against the backgroundcolour. Maybe use the header/img border colour instead.
Also the black color of the text should maybe be better (but less sharper) if you make it a very dark version of the backgroundcolour of the page.
