Re: How to get my sections back

That’s interesting Steve. The “recommended” ini that comes with PHP5 for Windows uses 128M, while PHP4’s has 8M.

Mary, I wasn’t aware of that but wow, I mean, what a difference!! That’s 16 times what php4 would get with a default install. Would most web hosters really give that much over to php?!

Glad you got this sorted out but I’m still curious about the difference between your Mac and Windows install — perhaps there is a clue in there about why the Win setup needs so much more memory? Could you possibly post the diagnostics from your Mac too so we might compare the two platforms?

Many thanks in advance.

Well, I can’t see anything that’s obviously ‘it’ in there — there are loads of similarities in fact.

One thing I have spotted doing a diff on the Windows and Mac diagnostics is that the Windows one you posted earlier show that your temp directory is still setup with *nix style path characters ‘/’ instead of ‘\’. Just to be sure I’d consider changing that over to the one that Windows is really expecting. (To change it, just go to Admin > Prefs > Advanced and make the necessary edits, changing your origin’ “E:/Apache2/htdocs/textpattern/tmp” to “E:\Apache2\htdocs\textpattern\tmp”
