How to get my sections back

How can I get my sections tab working again textpattern, it just load blank. I’ve tried reinstalling txp and importing my database but no success. I’ve also imported my database from the live server onto my local install of textpattern and all is working fine. Any one know how to help me thanks!

Re: How to get my sections back

Nothing wrong with the cache the only error message I have from php is:

The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using a multibyte charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.

The mbstring is there its just throwing up this error.

Really stumpped now!

Re: How to get my sections back

Textpattern doesn’t use the mbstring function. Try disabling all plugins.

If that doesn’t help, can you post a screenshot of what your sections tab looks like?

The sections tab is there, but when you click on it, it just loads a blank page. I don’t understand why it would have died on itself.

Any plugins in your installation — or was that a plain vanilla TxP reinstall that gave the blank tab?

Edited to add: it just might be a plugin that’s broken if your webhost upgraded your server’s php installation from version 4 to 5.

Re: How to get my sections back

Haven’t got any plugins installed its a plain old install. Its on our internal windows server running apache and php 5. We built the server last thursday and all was fine till tuesday and all of a sudden the sections now just loads a blank page.

As I said I’ve reinstalled txp and imported and exported the database from the server to my local mac and it works fine on my mac the section loads as normal.

Re: How to get my sections back

I’d like to see both a screenshot and the HTML source of that blank page.
