As far as any templates over at Textgarden that I have ported go I think if you left a credit within the CSS file that would be fine. It wouldn’t be visible unless someone was specifically checking out your site’s CSS. You could then remove the footer credits. Other than those, if you found other templates you liked then email the author and see what s/he says.
Then again, as Bert says above, porting an HTML design across to TXP isn’t that difficult so you might want to consider that or, if you find something you like, point me at it and I’ll see what work it entails and let you know.
