Re: Deprecated?

Excellent. So will you be able to get it in before 4.0.6?

Re: Deprecated?

Um… I checked again how it currently works. I think it’s clear enough ;)

tag_error <txp:sitename/> ->  Textpattern Notice: deprecated_tag  on line 990

Re: Deprecated?

Is that the line number of the page then?

Re: Deprecated?

I suspect it’s the number in the PHP script.

Re: Deprecated?

No I didn’t think so. It displays like so:-

Notice: tag is deprecated in /home/thebombs/public_html/textpattern/publish.php on line 990

Re: Deprecated?

Line numbers in errors are hard to alter since it points to where to code broke and not what made it brake. I went ape on it when doing my searchplugin since it outputted errors that was created by it in subroutines.

BUT, with a lot of code digging and the use of many dmp();s I found’em. I’ve actually saved a special version of the plugin that’s just littered with var dumps just to remind me of the mayhem =D.

Oh, and don’t forget the die();s.

Re: Deprecated?

Is it just the error page that omits the tag name in the notice or does that also happen if you use something like <txp:sitename /> in the default template for the frontpage?

Re: Deprecated?

The notice doesn’t show on any other page except the error page. My site is in “live” mode though so maybe that has something to do with it?? Let me go try something.

Re: Deprecated?

OK. I put my site into “testing” mode and put the “bad” tag back in. On all pages except the error page it showed the tag name that was at fault, so it works, apart from the error page. :)
