[request] Paginate comments
I recently visited an often commented txp site and the pages went on scrolling forever.
This is not a plugin which I would use (unfortunately).
It is just a thought…
Does anyone have the problem I mentioned above?
If yes is anybody willing to take it on?

Re: [request] Paginate comments
One drawback is that everytime you change comment page it will reload the whole page. It can ofcourse be solved through Javascript/Ajax for those that want it.
Also now the user can search the whole document for a word and it will find it in all comments which I personally use on numerous occations.
I’m not saying it’s not doable but there are drawbacks to consider.
Plugins:
ob1_advanced_search 1.032b, ob1_search_score 1.0, ob1_pagination 2.5, ob1_title 4.1, ob1_modified 2.1

I’m already working on this plugin. It was requested in a different topic as well :)

So got any thoughts on the drawbacks I listed above? Or are you making the user of the plugin tinker about those things? :)

I’m ignoring those drawbacks ;)

ruud,
A question:
when you are viewing, for example, the 2nd page of comments, will the article be displayed there too?
I don’t know if you have tough about that, but I think that could lead to another drawback: duplicated content (that may hurt SEO).
I’m not sure if I’m telling something coherent.
