I don’t even know what usercontent.css is. So, if it is some sort of custom css file, I wouldn’t have modified it.
OK….
1. userContent.css is a user css file (can be used e.g. to tweek some display of webpage)
2. What version of Camino are you using – latest release is 1.5.1 ?
Do you have any add ons or input managers installed ?

Usernames on this forum are in <dt> tags, maybe you can test if Camino has a problem with those in other situations?
Camino has absolutely no problems displaying the Textpattern forums (or any other forum for the matter, except when some brain dead developers decide to do some browser detection and only check for ‘firefox’).
Camino uses the same version of Gecko (the rendering engine) as Firefox 2.0.0.x.

No, I have not customized it in any way.

Camino displays other PunBB forums for me without any problem (eg. TextDrive’s forum).

Yes, I am aware of that.

Re: Where are posters' user names?
I have the same problem in Firefox, so it’s not a Camino issue, but maybe something with Gecko?
It only happens when logged in — when I log out I can see the usernames again.
Tried deleting cookies, changing the theme…

Interesting. I have confirmed this as well. When I log out, the user names appear. However, I do not see this behavior in Firefox.

Re: Where are posters' user names?
There are definitely more users who experience this, besides artagesw and milkshake, so maybe someone wants to investigate this a bit more? Mary?

Re: Where are posters' user names?
Hmm. If you are logged out or haven’t been around long, user’s names are no longer linked to their profiles.
Is JavaScript interfering (disable JavaScript – does the problem still exist?) or this purely a markup/styling problem?

Re: Where are posters' user names?
I don’t think it is Javascript-related. I disabled it with no effect.

Re: Where are posters' user names?
I think it’s php-related, because the names won’t be shown even in the source code.
If you are logged out or haven’t been around long, user’s names are no longer linked to their profiles.
Maybe there is the bug – at some kind of cookie conditional, or with userlevel conditional. But because it won’t show up with every user, I would ques that it comes with the cookie-based PHP conditional. Supose, its’ a single, simple & stypid typo in the code. Or maybe that function should be removed, because cookies won’t work for everybody as excepted.
Cheers!

Re: Where are posters' user names?
I would like to say that I feel dumb because I was totally confused about user names as well, calling people “lamda” and the like.
Even more confusing… because the spelling is “lambda” — the forum has it wrong!
I think it would be good if the name was the first thing in the panel and the greek letter state the last.

You mean in the sidebar, beside the user’s post?
Only problem is to fix the code, which does that kind of shitty thing. The user’s level (known as greek letter) is pretty understandable, so it’s good where it is. Well it could be writen with non-bold letters…
Cheers!

Re: Where are posters' user names?
over at the expressionengine boards i am almost consistently referred to as my forum user level name. i just think some ppl have an odd time discerning the two names for some reason. of course, this issue is a bit different when the username is completely missing for some people…

Yeah, exactly, but the position also makes it the most important thing. For you I see this:
êta
Real name: Jukka Svahn
From: Finland
Known languages: FI, EN, SE
For those who have no real name entered no indication of who they really are appears. This does seem like a problem to me.
