what is 'lofi'?

Sorry, this sounds very stupid question.
I see that there is a form ‘lofi’ in the txp default install, and a template I was playing with also have this form. I wonder if it’s just a name or something unique for textpatter such as default, archive.

Thanks!

Re: what is 'lofi'?

“lofi” normally means Last Out First In. Exactly why that was used in textpattern probably has to do with context and intended usage. I haven’t used it much myself, but judging from the form layout its used for tight format repeating lists such as search results.

Re: what is 'lofi'?

I’ve heard of LIFO, but not LOFI. But that’s assuming it is an acronymn, rather than a term more people are familiar with: “lo-fi” (versus “hi-fi”). Here it means a “lighter” or simpler version.

It isn’t arequired form in any case. Neither is the “archive” page, by the way.
