A new tag txp:session
What do you think about a new tag to create easily some sessions into txp?
for example <txp:session name=”“ path=”“ time=”“ etc. etc. />

If you could describe some practical uses for this, it might be helpful…
I don’t understand how this could be used, or useful.

Sessions is what I believe he’s referring to. I don’t see where lots of people would want this to put it into the core. A plugin, sure.

Mary, tks for your explanation with your link.
I understand your position about the core development and the use by the great number.
Have a good day.
Cheers,
Patrick.

I know what a session is, but I don’t understand what your example tag would do.

Re: A new tag txp:session
- a language switcher ;
- a styles switcher.
I’m working into a txp site where I take some informations from pages to pages and fill it into a zem_contact formmailer.
So I made a php session for my purpose, and I thought it’ll be funny if this kind of php session could be used with a txp core tag.

Re: A new tag txp:session
So what would the result or output of this tag be? -
<txp:session name=”“ path=”“ time=”“ etc. etc. />
I can see the sense in having some PHP library functions to support sessions in the core, for use by plugins and so on. But I don’t quite follow how you’d use them directly from a Textpattern tag.
