How do I change results after login?

I recently just started using Textpattern for several of my client’s sites. I love it! However, one problem that I keep running into is many of my clients get confused after they login into textpattern. I was thinking that it might make things easier for them, if I am able to alter textpattern’s source code so that after they login they are directed to the articles tab. This way they would be able to select pages to edit with out trying to find them. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I can do this? I have very little expiernce with PHP but I am willing o learn with some guidence!

Maybe not exactly what you want, but have you seen this plugin?

Re: How do I change results after login?

what if they bookmark http://site.com/textpattern/index.php?event=list as their starting page? The login will come first and the article list second.

alternatively you can create an htaccess rule where you can have a ‘fictional’ url ie site.com/login being rewritten to
http://site.com/textpattern/index.php?event=list which will bring the login… etc
