Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
AH! I see a bug that I hadn’t known about otherwise.
The script automatically defaults to preset values if a field is left blank, but thumbnailing is requested.
So if you just filled in 200px for the width, and left the height blank, it then would default to 100 as the maximum height and proportionally resize with 100px as the largest axis.

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
Well it seems to be working pretty well for the most part on my end. There are a few little things that I could niggle about, but all in all it’s the best mass upload solution I have seen to date. Good job :)

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
Hey, who posted those organic things? I want them. Eric, time to developp EBL_BatchDownload. :0) Are the width-and-height-aren’t-both-set-problems solved and ready to be tested, or should I wait before I go and put more weight on your server?

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
mmh. The cancel button doesn’t do anything. I don’t really see any use anyway. I managed to trigger the error message, concerning file-size: neat. I especially like the fact it only deletes the ones that are too large.

Hey, who posted those organic things?
Heh that was me. The folder just happened to be handy and have a good mix of file sizes to upload. The plugin worked for everything in that folder with no errors that I could see.

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
The thumbnail issue has been resolved, but now I’ve encountered an issue with memory management. Anyone up with memory / PHP / and php not using imagedestroy?
I believe I’ve solved this, but won’t know without further testing.
Also, I haven’t heard anyone respond to my idea of a Polish Ransom for this plugin. That is, release the plugin, then ask for it’s ransom. Any thoughts on the possible success / failure of this?

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
Have you looked at this post
It may be worth looking into a collaboration with Nils. It seems like in conjunction the two would make the txp image killer app that would solve all if not most image handleing problems that txp currently has.
Polish Ransom for this plugin
Well (good thing I’m not Polish) I think a hybrid would be nice. A $5 or $10 donation gets you a preview release of the plugin and then when the donations meet the set goal the plugin gets released to everyone.
Just a thought.

Re: EBL_BatchUpload plugin preview
I’m done (I think)
The ransom will be up later tonight, or tomorrow. I decided against a release now, donate later model. I just don’t see any real viability in this.

Great! I cant wait to see it. What licence are you going to put this under?

I hear you. I think the dollar amount you talked about should be easily reachable.
