Re: Norwegian localisation

After reviewing the interface, the following were added. Downloads updated.

Line 157: header => Overskrift // header becomes overskrift instead of hode…
Line 89: copy_editor => Kopi red. // this was wrongly translated. entities not properly encoded in pulldowns. abbreviated “redaktør” to fix.
Line 212: managing_editor => Ansvarlig red. // see above.
Line 211: mail_it => Mail det til meg // changed from “den” til “det” with reference to password.
Line 537: low => Minimum // changed to avoid entities in pulldowns. ? is detaljer.
Line 538: high => Maksimum // ibid.
Line 139: english_gb => engelsk (GB) // caps.
Line 140: english_us => engelsk (US) // caps.
Line 188: link_head => Lenkekategorier // consistent with the two other headings now.

Re: Norwegian localisation

Lastly, the rights categories needed some refinement:

Line 284: publisher => Eier
Line 330: staff_writer => Skribent

The breakdown is now compact:

Eier
Ansvarlig red.
Kopi red.
Skribent
Frilanser
Designer
Ingen

This makes OK and hierarchical sense in terms of the usual job descriptions for a publication.

Re: Norwegian localisation

Good work there mandelbrot !

While you are at it, could you add the file function strings as included in recent revisions of Textpattern?

Re: Norwegian localisation

Will do when I svn the build. Should be done by tomorrow. Could you make a small pleading note in the top post, asking people to please refer to the revision notes below before making changes so a consensus can be reached on a single file of agreeable terms?

Re: Norwegian localisation

Hi pio,

Good points. I bet there is plenty of small issues with the translation file. At least it improves over time. :)

If you want to step up to the task and continue the translation effort, that would be swell. Even if it is just at one-time effort. I will be keeping my eye on the progress anyway, so you won’t be alone.

I believe the file in this thread is the updated one. Have a look at the english language file and do a comparison in “Beyond Compare” , or something like it, to find out what is new.

Happy translating!

Re: Norwegian localisation

Hi everybody!

Seems like the Norwegian translation isn’t keeping up any more. Not only are there still a lot of word separating mistakes, but now there’s a lot of words missing. I would gladly like to help, just give me a clue about how. Right now I’m too tired to understand anything of how the translating organizing works in this house, but just want to let you know that I’m ready to translate. : )
