Wrap stuff inside the final article paragraph?

In my article form, I’d like to be able to wrap stuff inside the final paragraph’s </p> tag, ala the ‘#’‘s on Kottke’s remaindered links, inline with the last paragraph. And I need to do it without loosing links in the post, so etz_striptags is out unless there’s some way to restore the links and other formatting.

Ideas?

(Note: Currently I do it by right-aligning the “#” and CSS-ing it back up to the previous line. But now I want to use <txp:if_comments> <txp:comments_count /></txp:if_comments>, too, and the possibility of overlapping the actual paragraph text goes way up.)

Yes, I have tried turning it off and on.

Re: Wrap stuff inside the final article paragraph?

You’ll need a custom plugin. (You’d look for the very last </p>, stuff the content in, then return the result.)

Hmm . . . that sounds promising. I’ll confess that I’ve never done a TXP pluging before, but I might just be ripe. Anyone think they can flesh out the “look for the very last </p>” bit?

Re: Wrap stuff inside the final article paragraph?

You could use an excerpt plugin like kgr_safe_excerpt and edit the plugin (join th $link with excerpt). I used to do that on my site to get the “read more” link before the final </p>. I’d set the count to 9999 or something too, so it displays the whole article.
