Integrating a photo gallery to textpattern

Any suggestions. My biggest requirement is for users to have the functionality of loading photos from there desktops to the gallery.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Integrating a photo gallery to textpattern

I went to photo plugins and none fit my needs (Search on gallery resulted in 5 hits) based on my above criteria. What is the appropriate support forum where I can ask the above question ?

You can ask in the Plugins forum. Alexandra made an overview of existing gallery plugins. There is also the plugin archive in TextBook.

Re: Integrating a photo gallery to textpattern

You only mentioned one criterion: users being able to upload images.
Well, that is possible with even the simplest methods to create galleries.

Look what’s available in the plug-ins directory

Personally I use rss_thumbpop. It can create a gallery from all images tagged with a certain category, so all the users need to do is upload images and assign a category to them. These images will automatically appear in the gallery.

Re: Integrating a photo gallery to textpattern

lemonhead,

I use the singapore gallery on all my sites, small, light, easy to style.

For a desktop app, there’s Gallery Mage that works with singapore.

Personally, I just FTP my images up and singapore create the thumbnails on the fly.
