I came over from this a bit outdated thread.
Once again i like to ask which gallery scripts and plugins you use?
Which gallery plugins work for txp 4.0.3.?
Any samples out there?

Please help to build up this resource thread.

Okay i start with Bastians wonderful:

bas_lightbox plugin – Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript

any sample gallery base on lightbox out there? If so, please append it.

rss_thumbpop is still going strong (on my 4.0.3). But I must admit I´ve been looking into other gallery soloutions lately…

example article on my site (if there still is anyone who doesn´t know what this plugin can do)

Not a beauty-queen, but i’m running a gallery with lightbox
Jusos Wuppertal

It is powered by a very hacked version to Support bas_lightbox with Lightbox 2.0.
And the Lightbox Frontend is in German.

As far i find the time, i will update the plugin to 2.0. But maybe not before May.

I’m not sure, if this is what has been asked fore, or irrelevant, but I use wet_article_thumb (Actually in conjunction with one of kbde tutorials),
(I does all what I need for now), and there is allso wet_thumb_filter ,

There is allso bos_image_display, but I haven’t tried that one yet.

I’m still sticking by vdh_flickr for now. Works great, and you get all of the perks of Flickr’s awesome uploading tools with the ability to display in a custom format in TXP. Not to mention if you upload the photos in a public set, you get double exposure via the Flickr community, and you don’t use as much of your own bandwidth or storage space. Easy on-click popup slideshows never hurt either :)

I post articles with a big photo. If that one photo is not enough, I add up to 6 smaller, clickable thumbs using bas_lightbox_plugin.

I used to use glx_gallery in combination with dca_pop up to a few days ago.
Now I’m on a customized version of bas_lightbox on <a href=“http://hblack.net/hblack/”>hblack.net/hblack</a>

Just to have an example: this is made with my bos_image_display plugin. The plug is shaped to do more, but in this page I didn’t need, it’s just a very basic example.

A random image is choosen at start, but you could display the first of the category.

yes soulship, that jmr-style gallery is great – would be better if you could use multiple ids in the article image field to generate the images & sort order associated with an article (one site now has 35+ image categories and it’s getting cumbersome) – but I like it still

I just discovered Albumpattern last night. From my quick test of it, it seems to be an excellent plugin. It allows creation of albums and uploading of images into the albums, automated thumbnail creation, image comments and more.

The only drawback is that there’s a question mark over its continued support. I seriously hope that the plugin carries on being developed, as it’s one of the best I’ve seen so far.
