Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...

hi, I have edited the original Traditional Chinese 中文(繁體) language to support TXP 4.0-20060831

The latest version replace the old one with more properly words in order to fit chinese user’s custom.
Besides, this version collect some missing pieces of stuff from the old one….

Regarding the Chinese updates: have these been installed? Who are the official Chinese translators?

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...

I don’t know who the official Traditional Chinese translators is, so I post this file here.

this traditional chinese language file has been installed on our local server, and after we checked all pages on these days, it works perfectly fine.

We hope that this reply could be helpful for textpettern :)

Mary, thanks a lot for your information.

I feel very sorry about that I can’t contact with Gary

And the latest post time on jenny’s bolg has been one year ago.

I tried to leave a message on her forum , but so many spam there!
even so, I still leave a comment on her blog.

Now I’m worry about if she doesn’t use that site at present……

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...

Hi all, I’m here again :)

I saw the new text was added to the zh-tw.txt file on Textpattern language files list.
Thank you.

But the original definiens of the old one didn’t update.

Since TextBook(Traditional Chinese) is using the words of the latest zh-tw.txt file now, I think the old one would confuse Chinese Traditional users.

Anyone can update the language file?

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...

The zh-tw.txt file at Textpattern language files list ,which is just added the new lines from the latest version of zh-tw.txt.
But some of the other original text in the old one is different from the new one.
And these words didn’t update on server.

Sorry, I have to write some chinese words to explain how different they are.

  1. Section: the old one translated it into 項目; it was become 文章類型 in the new one.
—Because sometimes in Chinese, 項目 means item. We think that was not perfectly.

But ‘‘Section’‘ in chinese definition is a part of article’s content , that’s not match what textpattern mean.
So we translate Section into 文章類型, which one means the type of article.
2006.10.02: now we change 文章類型 into 版區(the location of article)
  1. StyleSheet, in the old one it calls 式樣表, the new file is change 式樣表 into 樣式表
‘‘StyleSheet’‘ calls 樣式表 normally on web design. See Google
(Even in simple chinese, it still calls 樣式表)
  1. XML Feeds, we don’t have to do translation for it.
  2. The latest version corrected several server-related information from the old one.
cause the original text is unapt in Chinese.
  3. And other changes…

Re: [Obsolete] Translating Textpattern to ...

I have just downloaded the latest version of http://rpc.textpattern.com/lang/en-gb.txt. I am starting to translate it to Danish. I am having a little trouble finding out what context some of the lines should be used in.

In which context is are the following keys used?

log_in_at
managin_editor
reset_author_password
writer
staff_writer
article_markup
excerpt_markup
no_articles_recorded
or_publish_at
override_default_form

…more will probably come…

And finally, what am I supposed to name the file? da_dk.txt?

Oh. One more question, am I allowed to have comments in the file?
(this would be a great help, so I can remember the context. A lot of Danish words are ambigous and therefore it is nice to know in which context they are used)
