Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
Looks fine to me now — you only have two photos posted, right? Are you still seeing problems?

Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
I don’t think it’s an issue with the template. I think it’s a txp issue.
I did find that if you don’t have any tags against the photos it tends to give off a bunch of warnings/errors :)
I’ve turned debugging back on for a while… anyone have thoughts as to the sql error on the archive page:
http://www.rovingrob.com/archive
As mentioned it looks like a txp bug… but i can’t seem to find anyone having a similar issue.

Thanks Neil! Your son’s photos are excellent. I love the Australian landscapes.
I’m hoping to get version 1.0 done in the next couple weeks, after I beat IE6 into submission.

Hmm. Good point. Maybe I will put that into 1.0. I am thinking the search has to go somewhere else anyway, so it might be a good time to find a place for an about page.
Thanks!
Hey there … checked out the Demo page and noticed your recent work on the template (adding the about, purchasing, etc.) Getting close to a release?
Thanks again for your great work!!

Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
EddieG5 — Yup, hoping to get it done in the next week or two. Nothing earth shattering, just attempting some modest zem_contact integration and more forgiving treatment of oddly-sized thumbnails, etc.
Gwong — glad you got it fixed. I forgot some .txt extensions in the download and that (understandably) has thrown a lot of people off.

Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
Ok, it’s not perfect (in particular, the zem_contact_reborn integration is not behaving entirely) but it’s better than v.9.
Widescreen v1.0
information | demo installation | download
1.0 Changelog
- .htaccess modified to prevent flickering (image refetching) on hover.
See http://www.fivesevensix.com/studies/ie6flicker for more details. - Clicking on a photo now takes you to the previous one.
- LiveSearch moved into header bar as a popover.
- Slightly transparent sidebar makes comment form’s “slide” effect less confusing (?).
- Back-to-top links at bottom of comment form and comment list.
- Better comment styles and previewing.
- Better IE stylesheet.
- Archive: new auto-linked comment “bugs” show number of comments on that photo.
- Archive: new page navigation icons.
- About section with optional zem_contact_reborn integration for contact and order forms, although this is buggy in my installation (thanks_form does not work).
- Opera z-index problems were fixed with Opera 9 :-)
Bug reports welcome. Thanks!

Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
Googogracie —
Those are sample articles to show how the textile syntax can be used to hook into the CSS styles (e.g. to float images left and right). You can copy and paste them into the content > write tab and post them to the about section, but of course you’ll want to delete the dummy text and modify it to your liking.
It might help to work with a default installation of Textpattern to get the hang of it first. Good luck!

Re: Widescreen, a photoblog template
v1.0… AWSOME :)
Although for some reason my about page isn’t working as expected.
http://www.rovingrob.com/about/
I get a double up.. * about * Purchase prints * About
Strange…. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, thanks form doesn’t work here either. Wonder what is going on there :)
Edit: kind of fixed added this on the about form…
txp:article_custom section=“about” offset=“1” form=“about-list” sortby=“Title” sortdir=“asc”
the offset was making it do strange things. So… Perhaps there is a better way to do this?
