Re: TXP Hosting

A word on ASO’s speed. A number of their servers are at ThePlanet and seem to have slower response times than the servers located at GNAX. As soon as the new GNAX-AtlantaNAP datacenter is finished all ASO’s servers will be moving there.

If you want to try a TXP based site on a GNAX ASO server try (not ready for live but accessible) <a href=“http://www.ve1cbf.ca/ve1cbf/” title=“The Yak Shack VE1CBF”>The Yak Shack (redesign)</a>

The links in my signature are on the same server and are static HTML (sadly in need of a redesign).

Re: TXP Hosting

I have had Site5 for a few months now, and I have really enjoyed the service. The support seems quite responsive too. I have contacted them a couple times so far (one because of my bad, and one to upgrade Zend on my server because Gallery2 had a problem with one version) and had both problems resolved within the same day.

Plus I love the Multisite features. And they are a Ruby and Rails host also if you are into that sort of thing.

That’s my plug.

Too cheap as apparently now out of business as it returns a 404. :D

Re: TXP Hosting

UPDATE:

I have just signed up with http://www.belahost.com for a test drive. They had all the features I require (MySQL 5, Rails, Zend, etc) and came recommended by a friend. Their live chat support is excellent and my setup was painless… We will see how they hold up in the long haul, but so far so good.
